Journalists pay tribute to Touqeer Nasir

Organize Lunch to acknowledge his contribution

Pakistan film and TV Journalists association Karachi wing organized a lunch in the honour of Touqeer Nasir, Director General Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Karachi press club. Director of arts PNCA, Hassan Abbas, Nisar Ali Khan, and others office bearers of the association were also present there.

President of journalist association, Athar Javaid Sufi and General Security, Abdul Waseh welcomed the director general Touqeer Nasir and others and praised the role of PNCA for promoting the art and cultural heritage of the country.

Director General, Touqeer Nasir said on the occasion, “Cultural activities play a vital role for promoting peace and love among the people, society and the world at large, therefore every one should play his role for the betterment of Pakistan and its future generations.”

Touqeer Nasir further said on the occasion, “We are going to organize a ‘Sufi Mela’ festival in October in Karachi which would be playing a vital role for promoting our ancestors’ Sufism and cultural heritage.”

PNCA has started 3-day ‘Ghazal Festival’ at Karachi Arts Council to entertain the people of Karachi which would be giving them some relief in these hard times.
