‘Time to shun sectarian differences and be united’, People are demanding Army operation in Parachinar: Speakers

‘It is high time we must shun our differences as Shia and Sunni and must start thinking beyond it for our unity and for the prosperity of Pakistan,’ Chairman Central Imam Hussain Council, Islamabad and Federal Advisor for Information, Ghazanfar Mehdi said this while addressing Bab-ul-Islam, Ali Maula Conference here in Attock.

Ghazanfar Mehdi said that there were no differences among shiiate and Sunni sects but in fact enemy forces were trying to create differences between them by hatching conspiracies. He said that Pakistan was passing through a critical situation and it was highly needed to promote unity and shun differences. We all must follow the teachings of Hazrat Ali (RA) who was declared Gate of Knowledge by our Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He said we must not declare one another kafirs (non-believers). He said, in Parachinar almost 3500 people have been killed apparently in sectarian violence but in fact it is not sectarian issue. This all has been done through hatching conspiracies against shiiate and Sunni. He said that federal government has recently sent 6 thousand trucks to Parachinar loaded with ration and medicines. Ghazanfar Mehdi said soon PIA services for Parachinar will be restored. He said that whatsoever was happening in Parachinar in the name of sectarianism was being done by Al Qaeda. Chairman(NCPIH) National Committee for Peace and Interfaith Harmony and Federal Advisor Allama Syed Zaheer Hashmi while addressing the conference said that NCPIH was making efforts for removing differences between different sects specially between shiiate and Sunni and emphasized that the teachings of Bab-ul-Islam, Hazrat Ali (RA) be followed in letter and spirit. He said that materialism was on its rise and this was the reason that forces against Muslims were hatching different conspiracies but we must be aware of the nefarious designs of our enemies. Allama said that African Leader Nelson Mandela has also followed the teachings of Hazrat Ali and remained steadfast in his struggle for freedom. Allama said that Mandela has confessed this in his book Freedom. He said, there are one billion and 50 crore Muslim in the world but are in crisis because of differences among them which is a matter of great concern. We, all the Muslims must wake up from deep slumber, forgetting our differences and must become united and promote inter faith harmony, solidarity, unity and love. He reminded that for the creation of Pakistan shiiate and Sunnis launched a collective moment then how there could be difference among them. He said that People of Pakistan supported General Ashfaq Pervez Kiani for starting operation against terrorists. He demanded that similar operation be launched in Parachinar as people support it. He said today’s Bab-ul-Islam conference is a platform for shiiate and Sunni unity. He also condemned America for carrying out drone attacks. He said that constitution of 1973 is supreme and no armed moment by any group is allowed in Pakistan.
