NH&MP launches campaign across the country
ISLAMABAD, November 1, 2010: National Highway and Motorway Police (NH&MP) launched on Monday ‘soft policing campaign’ for three hours across Pakistan on National Highways and Motorways in order to maintain the true standards of efficiency and professionalism.
The campaign was launched on the directions of Dr Wasim Kauser, inspector general National Highways & Motorway Police. A general hold up was observed across Pakistan.
During the General Hold Up all zonal commanders as well as sector commanders of NH&MP remained on road and monitored traffic discipline.
He said that during the public dealing, the patrolling officers must receive the violators with smile and felicitation and execute their responsibilities as per law with politeness and respect. He stressed upon the progressive improvement in the field working and maintaining overall towering standard of this force
During this occasion, he stopped at various points to inspect the public dealings at time of enforcing the law and extending the help to distress road users by the NH&MP Patrolling officers..
He said that the soft image, which the NH&MP has earned is because of politeness sincerity and selflessness to create a sense of responsibility among the commuters. He further said that attention must be paid to facilitate the distress road users by providing timely help and to give basic traffic education.
The small packets of sweets and packs of biscuit imprinted with road safety slogans also distributed on all toll plazas and by the patrolling vehicles to the commuters traveling on motorways & highways with their families. The road safety stalls were also established at prominent point’s areas of highways and at service areas on motorways.
