NH&MP vows to observe high moral values

ISLAMABAD 25, 10, 2010: Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police Dr. Wasim Kausar has said that the Officers of Motorway Police should consider their duty a sacred purpose.
He said that this department is admired due to good behavior of officers and timely help towards people being rendered by them; therefore, officers should pay full respect to the road users. He also said that no complaint regarding wrong behavior towards road users would be tolerated.
He was speaking to the senior officers of N-5 North at NH&MP Headquarters Islamabad on Monday. He said that helping the road users is a sacred job, therefore, he stressed upon the officer of NH&MP to behave with the commuters with great respect and courtesy.
“Zero accident policy in our own department must be ensured and work more hard to reduce the accident rate on the Highways as well as on Motorways, as it is our prime duty to save our own and the lives of the people” he said
He emphasized the officers that Equal Application of Law must be ensured in all respects. He said that Providing Help to commuters, their Counseling and Guidance is the motto of Motorway Police. He asked the officers to use government material with great care. He congratulated the zonal DIG for reducing accidental rate up to 07% as compared with last year, and he also stressed on the officer that more efforts be made to reduce the accidents.
