‘Latelier’ brings all fashion needs under one roof
By Yasir Ilyas
Located in the heart of Islamabad, a trendy boutique ‘Latelier,’ meaning ‘Studio’ in French, has popped up in style on the fashion horizon of the capital city. Catering to the fashion needs of the elitist female community of the twin cities, the boutique has a fine interior that draws clients, as if by force of magic.
The boutique, which offers a fine variety of formal and casual ladies’ wear, handbags and accessories under one roof, is the brainchild of famous model Zahra Raza, and her family.
Talking to INFN, Zahra Raza said, she has displayed the collections of 30 local and 5 Indian designers in the boutique. “This is a place where all fashion needs of ladies are catered properly. Our rates are quite reasonable too; we are not focusing on the elite only. We have dresses ranging from Rs. 2,000 to very expensive suiting,” she added.
Some of the designers whose collection is available at Latelier are Nayna, Nomi Ansari, Zara Shahjahan, Mehdi, Jia, Nicky and Nina and others.
Replying to a question, Zahra shared her plan of expanding the business to Karachi and Lahore in the first stage, and then to Dubai in order to introduce Pakistani designers to the international market. She also plans to hold exhibitions and road shows to promote the work of Pakistani designers.
‘Latelier’ is a multilevel boutique with a Price Point, a Bridal Room and a consultancy to bridge the gap between the designer and client.
Zahra is planning to work in menswear in the near future, and hopes to introduce ladies’ footwear in her boutique so that women can find the entire range of accessories under a single roof.
