Daily Wages, Contract and Junior Lady Teachers facing a new hurdle in Regularization of Service

Whereas the cases of all those teachers and lecturers serving in the Model Colleges of Islamabad have been forwarded to FPSC for necessary action who have completed 3-year service on the directives of the Supreme Court.

These teachers have complained that they are being entangled in different delaying tactics by FPSC. Federal Public Service Commission has recently sent letters to all such teachers asking them to provide certain documents so that FPSC may arrange an interview for their regularization.

“One of these documents that candidates have been asked to submit in FPSC head office is ‘a certificate verifying that the candidate has never been given any such chance of regularizing service in the past’. This certificate has to be issued by the principal of the institution where the concerned teacher is currently serving.”

“However, the principals are least willing to issue any such letter and most of them have straight away said ‘no’ and have asked the candidates that they will not issue the said certificates at any cost,” confided a group of teachers that visited INFN on Wednesday.

The teachers looked helpless and demanded the Secretary, Federal Public Service Commission to immediately intervene and save them from the mental agony by letting the candidates submit a self-signed declaration in which a candidate may be required to submit a written statement on oath that he/she has never availed any such chance before.

“The statement and declaration submitted can later be verified by looking into the record of FPSC,” they requested.

The teachers have also requested the Director General, Director Model Colleges, Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) as well as the Secretary, Capital Administration & Development Division (CAD Div) to take notice of the unprofessional behaviour of the Principals that is synonymous of insulting the prophetic profession of teaching altogether and direct them not to create hurdles in the way of regularization of services of these poor helpless nation builders.
