All Pakistan basketball tournament starts at PSC;

KPK and Punjab win their matches

All Pakistan basketball tournament has started at Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad (PSC).

President Pakistan Basketball Federation Asif Bajwa was the Chief Guest of the tournament’s inaugural ceremony. The teams included in this tournament are Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, FATA, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad Black and Islamabad white.

On the first day, four matches were played. The teams have been divided into two Pools. Punjab, Sindh, Islamabad black and FATA are in POOL A, while the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Islamabad White are in POOL B.

First match was played between the Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in which KPK beat Balochistan with a big margin (28-08). S. Awais scored 5 goals while Taimoor Khan crossed the ball through net 6 times.

On the other hand Mir wais and M. Qasim succeeded in crossing the ball through net 4 times each.

Second match was played between the Punjab and Sindh in which Punjab succeeded. Punjab scored 66 goals while the Sindh confined itself to 30 goals only and lost.

Kashif Gill, Bilal Bajwa and Faheem Ahmed respectively scored 22, 12 and 09 goals from Punjab’s side.

Salman Ilyas, Abubakar and Ghori scored the goals 08, 08 and 06 respectively.
