Civil court declares Aqeel, a Proclaimed Offender

 

PML (N) constitutes Disciplinary Committee in Anjum’s case;

 

The civil court has declared the PML (N) leader Anjum Aqeel who has been on the run after his supporters allegedly got him free from the Police Custody, a proclaimed offender. Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) has formed a disciplinary committee to investigate Anjum Aqeel’s escaping from the police custody with the help of his supporters. The committee will see the reason of his escaping and identify the culprits of this incident.

 

The committee was made on the instructions of PML (N) leader Nawaz Sharif. The committee consists of four members. Raja Zafar ul Haq will chair this committee while other members included are Khurram Dastgir, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Nuzhat Amir.

 

Committee will see the reason behind the incident and present its report in three days to Nawaz Sharif.

 

Anjum Aqeel escaped from the Shalimar police station on Friday night because has an alleged involvement in the Fraud case.

 

Rehman Malik also discussed this incident and said, “PML (N) talked about the supremacy of law, this incident discloses to every one on the real face. It was a black day in the history of law. PML (N) must suspend Aqeel’s party membership. Police had arrested Anjum on the orders of the Supreme Court.”

He further told that whosoever helped in the escaping we will be prosecuted. He ordered to arrest the concerned DSP and the SHO for their negligence.

 

Police has arrested fifty people, who included his brother and brother-in-law of Anjum Aqeel.  Police has also got remand of thirty-two suspected people who provided help to Anjum Aqeel in escaping from police custody.

 

Court has also accepted bail of thirteen policemen who were also arrested in this case.
