Headmistress accuses DEO, AEO of harassment:

DCO launches enquiry

“In Tehsil Jand nepotism in education department is on the rise and those teachers who demand their rights are harassed and issued illegal suspension and explanation letters to them,” Headmistress GGES (Govt Girls Elementary School), Ghandian,  Kaneez Akhtar has alleged this in an application addressed to DCO Attock.

She has alleged that DY DEO (Jand), AEO (Female) Jand and DEO Secondary Attock are close relatives and on the one or other pretext harass and threat teachers. She has stated that on 16 June four ceiling fans were stolen from her school. For this she was issued an explanation letter by Dy DEO Jand and was asked to submit her reply within three days. She said that without waiting for her reply her suspension orders were issued which was illegal and against the prevailing rules and regulations. She has also alleged that Dy DEO (Women) Jand was in habit of collecting money from all the girl schools on the one or other pretext which was an illegal act.

Kaneez Akhtar has stated that in the month of February when she was deputed to perform her duty as examiner. She was asked by Dy DEO Jand to allow the students of private school for cheating which she did not comply. In return, she was harassed. On the request of the headmistress, DCO Attock, Shakil Ahmad has deputed EDO (Education) Abdul Khaliq to conduct an enquiry and submit report.
