Resolving Energy Crisis:

USAID Organizes workshop for the CEOs and BoDs of HESCO, QESCO

The Board of Directors (BoDs) and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) and Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) attended a workshop organized by the MWP- USAID Power Distribution Program (PDIP).

The project is currently conducting workshops for the board members of power distribution companies who have been recently appointed by the Ministry of Water and Power. Leading international experts are assisting the Ministry of Water and Power in board training workshops.

Prominent personalities from Sindh and Balochistan have been appointed by the Ministry of Water and Power as the Board members for HESCO and PESCO. The workshop was facilitated by an international power sector expert, Robert Kolling who has previously served as the board member and CEO of a distribution company in the United States.

The Board of Directors of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), Gujranwala Electric Company (GEPCO), Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) and Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) have already attended similar workshops organized by the MWP- USAID Power Distribution Program.
