Pakistan sells wheat to Indonesia and Malaysia;
Gets the most competitive price
Pakistan has sold nearly 25,000 tons of wheat to Malaysia and Indonesia this week, prompting Indonesia to cut its corn imports, according to media reports.
Pakistani wheat was sold for about US $310 (Rs. 26,350) a ton in the Asian market, one of the most competitive prices in that market.
Pakistan is expected to produce about 25m tons of wheat this year, of which 22m tons will be used for domestic production, INFN has learnt.
