Protest held

RAWALPINDI, November 2, 2010: Pakistan workers federation of Rawalpindi Islamabad Region held a protest here at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto road in Rawalpindi, for the protection of the jobs of hundred thousand workers who will lose there employment by the departmentalization of WAPDA on the direct instructions from IMF.

The rally was conducted by hundreds of workers of Pakistan Workers Federation and other affiliated organizations CDA, Attock refinery, Islamabad Sports Board, PWD, Murree Brewery, Kohanor Mills and several others. The demand of the protestors is the job security of workers.

The rally was lead by Zahoor Awan general secretary, Chaudary Yaseen, Rehman Ghani, Javed Iqbal Balooch, Syed Nazar Hussain Shah, Raja Waqar, Hameed Jadoon, Malik Fateh, Raiz Bhatti, Sajid Mir, Main Bilal Sultan, Chaudary Shakoor and others.
