Peace walk’ to condemn terrorism

ISLAMABAD, July 09, 2010: National Peace Community for Interfaith Harmony (NPCIH) organized a peace rally from China Chowk to Parliament House condemning terrorism and suicide attacks on Data Darbar, here on Friday.

 The rally was lead by Allama Sayyed Ayaz Zahir Hashmi, the chairman of NPCIH. A large number of people from different walks of life participated in the walk to condemn terrorism as they held banners containing slogans against terrorism, chanting slogans to eradicate terrorism and to promote interfaith harmony at any cost.

 While addressing to the participants, Allama  Hashmi said that they do not allow any one to disturb peace in Pakistan and that Pakistan is the result of prayers of saints like Data Ganj Bukhsh Hajveri (RA). He said that any muslim can not even think to attack on shrines or mosques. He further said that Prophet’s (PBUH) life teaches us to live with peace and harmony.

“We will give any type of sacrifice to stop terrorism and to maintain peace in country” said Mian Ayub, adviser to PM who was also present in the rally.

Peer Khwaja Amir Gurinja was also present in the rally and during his speech he said that Pakistani Nation is lucky to have Data Darbar here and terrorists who made attacks on it could not be Muslims. He further said that minorities have equal rights in Pakistan and they should be facilitated with all basic necessities of life.
