Marble Blocks Open Auction Commences Today

 

Pakistan Stone Development Company (PASDEC) is launching a series of open auctions of regular and irregular marble blocks at its warehouses and quarry development project sites from June 1, 2011(today).

 

PASDEC intends to auction about 20000 tons of marble production, extracted from its quarries across the country. The first auction is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at PASDEC Warehouse (Marble City) Risalpur at 11 am. About 1000 tons fine quality of regular marble blocks will be auctioned.

 

The next auction will be held at Quarry Up-gradation FATA in Mohmand Agency on June 3 at 11 am, where 1050 tons irregular and 319 tons regular marble blocks will be auctioned. As per schedule, on 6th June 2800 tons irregular and 2365 regular marble blocks will be auctioned at Javed Khan, quarry up-gradation project, in Buner (KP) at 11 am and 300 tons irregular and 250 regular marble blocks of Model Quarry Buner will be auctioned on same date at 3 pm.

 

About 1497 tons irregular blocks and 1036 tons of regular blocks will be ready for auction on June 8, at Model Quarry Chitral at 11 am. While 4000 tons regular marble blocks will be auctioned on June 10 at PASDEC warehouse Gaddani (Balochistan) at 11 am. One thousand tons irregular and 791 tons regular marble blocks extracted from Quarry Up-gradation Mastung-I and 300 irregular and 1346 regular blocks of Quarry Up-gradation Mastung-II will be auctioned on 13th June at 10 am and 2pm respectively.

 

The auction of 100 tons irregular and 105 tons of regular blocks will be held at Quarry Up-gradation Lora Lai on June 15, at 12 pm. More than 4500 tons irregular and 7351 tons regular marble blocks will be auctioned at Model Quarry Khuzdar on June 17, at 11 am. The last auction will be held at Sonda (Sindh) on 20th June at 11 am. In this auction 1449 tons irregular and 80 tons regular Indus Gold marble will be sold. In addition the auction will be held on fortnight basis in future.

 

These auctions will bestow the investment and business opportunities in marble and granite sector to stakeholders.
