FJWU reaffirms its commitment to educate women

Fatima Jinnah Women University organized a Press Conference regarding taking charge of new Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir, who was appointed on 15 July, 2011. Press Conference was arranged in University premises on Wednesday.

Dr. Professor Samina Amin Qadir, vice chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Women University said on the occasion, “Working in a women organization is a liberating experience and I give its credit to Dr. Najma Najam, the pioneer of this university, for establishing the university aiming at making women aware of their goals, their rights and their obligations. Being a Vice Chancellor of the university is a big responsibility. We have a great team to work with and being the captain of the team I think that for the improvement in HEC ranking of this university, strategic planning is required.”

When INFN talked to vice chancellor, Samina Amin Qadir, she said, “We have introduced computers and arts for the first time in our university as a subject which was a great experience for us and the student as well so we are going to start Diplomatic studies in our university which would be so useful for students.”

She further said about future projects, “University will start M.Phil programs in various disciplines in the next one and a half year. Problems faced by the university include availability of hostels for the students. FJWU University is providing hostel facilities to its students by hiring 12 hostels for students. We provide pick and drop facility to the students as well.
