Motorway Police Recovers 4 Stolen Cars,

Arrests 2 Car Lifters

National Highways & Motorway Police has recovered 04 stolen cars and arrested 02 car lifters.

As per details, a tracker Company informed Motorway Police that a white Corolla car No. LEC-6682, Model 2007 has been stolen from Lahore. They further told that Tracker system is also installed in the car which shows that the car is moving on Motorway.

On this information the Motorway Police made all its patrolling vehicles alert. After few minutes the NH&MP officers SPO Nadeem and PO Muhammad Naeem saw the said car on Motorway (M-1) near Burhan, they succeeded to stop it through commando action and arrested one culprit namely Muhammad Raza s/o Muhammad Ijaz r/o Lahore. During interrogation he confessed his crime and informed that he stole the car from Lahore.

In 2nd incident, Lahore Police informed NH&MP that a white Suzuki Mehran car No LEF-4208 model 2007 has been stolen from Gahri Shahu Lahore and requested for help to recover the said car. On receiving this information motorway police got alerted all its patrolling vehicles. After few minutes the NH&MP officers PO Yasir Qyyum and PO Tariq Mehmood saw a speedy Suzuki Mehran car, which was over speeding, in the area of Sheikhupura on motorway (M-2), they signaled to stop but the driver of car instead of stopping tried to speed away. However, on chasing by Motorway Police officers, they succeeded to stop it at some distance, and arrested one culprit namely Muhammad Azeem r/o Karachi. Motorway Police took the car in to their custody and on search of the car, the original number plate LEF-4208 was recovered from it. In 3rd incident, NH&MP officers SPO Abdullah and PO Muhammad Imran were on their routine duty on Motorway (M-1) in the area of Burhan, the NH&MP officers saw corolla Xli car No. LES-9436 which was parked on the hard shoulder and no one was present there. However, on search a telephone number was found and dialled, which revealed that the said car was stolen from Bhalwal police station, Sargodha. The NH&MP officers took the car into their safe custody and informed the owner of the car. In 4th incident, NH&MP officers SPO Nasrullah and PO Ahmed Ali were on their routine duty on Motorway (M-2) in the area of Khanka Dogran, the NH&MP officers saw a Silver colour Honda City car No. LXO-734 which was parked on the hard shoulder and no one was present there. However, it revealed that the said car was stolen from Liaqutabad police station, Lahore.  The NH&MP officers took the car into their safe custody and inform the owner of the car. The Motorway Police informed the concerned Local Police about all these incidents and later on, the Motorway Police handed over the arrested Culprits alongwith the recovered vehicles in the presence of the owners of the vehicles to the concerned Local Police for further legal action. The Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police Zafarullah Khan has appreciated the performance of the officers who took part in these episodes and announced cash rewards and commendation certificates for them.
