Eradicating corruption still ‘a far cry’;
Tax evaders hire lawyers for 2 Crore to be safe from accountability: Sheikh Rashid
Just to think of our country without the menace of corruption seems impossible. No doubt it is the evil whose filthiness is present everywhere but at least other countries keep a check somehow but here it is almost impossible to question any one who is on high position.
During a discussion, Sheikh Rashid argued that there should be ‘death penalty’ on corruption cases in Pakistan while on the other hand the situation of the railway, OGDCL and tax collection is an open secret now to all, he said.
The problems in our country have increased manifolds recently. Children, youth and aged people suffer from the mess of load-shedding every now and then. Students face difficulties during normal days as well as in the time of examination while on the other hand the government gives message to the youngsters on different media outlets that they should work for the betterment of this country, said Muhammad Saeed, a shopkeeper.
Munnawar Raza said that how could we be making the best future of this country if there is inflation, load-shedding, corruption and the capacity of the common man is being weakened day by day due to the spiralling price-hike while increasing the rate of unemployment.
“Theft has become a ‘national trait’ in Pakistan, whosoever finds an opportunity, easily avail it,” Sheikh Rashid said during a debate on a private television channel.
