Kazmi says he changed his decision to file suit against Swati on PM’s insistence
Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi on Monday said he wanted to file a suit claiming damages worth Rs. 80 million against Minister for Science and Technology Azam Khan Swati but he changed his mind on insistence of Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani.
Talking to a private news channel he said the minister for science and technology leveled baseless allegations against him as part of a campaign to defame him in the eyes of the people and he has the right to move court against him.
“I am not filing suit as the prime minister telephoned me and stopped me from doing so due to which I changed my decision. But I categorically say all the allegations against me carry no weight and I did nothing wrong,” he said.
